CaribSea recommends that you gently rinse this product in a clean, soap free bucket or other suitable container prior to use. With scissors cut the top corners of the bag. Prop the bag up in a bucket and insert a hose in one corner. Gently rinse and agitate with the hose while allowing the waste water to exit out the other corner (careful not to wash out the product with the effluent). open and place Super Naturals into the bottom of the aquarium. Place in decorations, rocks, etc., and fill tank with treated, conditioned, aquarium-ready water. Turn on all pumps and filters according to manufacturer's directions. Wait at least 20 minutes before adding livestock. Some cloudiness may persist for up to several hours, allow 24 hours for crystal clear water.
Caution:
All natural sands may contain trace minerals that can temporarily affect water pH. Monitor your water pH after adding gravel and adjust as necessary to avoid sudden pH changes.
